Production Line Lead

This position serves as a lead in managing daily production and packaging of products and serves as a production line worker as needed.  Reports to production supervisor.

Key Responsibilities (other duties as assigned)

Lead production line with consistent speed and accuracy.
Find opportunities to improve production efficiency.
Ensure there is adequate employee coverage and informing the Production Supervisor of any employee absences during the shift.
Directs and assigns work to employees to reach production goals.
Collaborates with Quality Manager to ensure products meet technical specifications
Provides training and development to new and existing employees to cultivate high performing teams.
Notifies Supervisor/Maintenance of any equipment malfunctions or problems that are impeding production.
Ensures that all safety-related concerns are communicated and addressed.
Ensures all employees are operating equipment according to procedures.
Ensures employees are following safety measures.
Collects and reviews all documentation at shift end as needed to ensure processes were followed.
Keeps the area clean and organized at all times.
Reports safety and/or quality concerns to the Supervisor.
Communicates any performance concerns to the Production Supervisor.
Ensures all activities are aligned with company Core Values.

Requirements

Ability to communicate using written and verbal skills.
Conduct yourself with honesty & integrity.
Basic understanding of simple math, written instructions, and the ability to complete forms and necessary paperwork.
Capable of reading and understanding production documents and safety manuals in English.
Ability to type at least 25 words per minute.
Basic computer skills and experience using Microsoft Word and Excel.
Cleanliness and organization.
Lift at least 30 lbs. at a time.
Ability to crouch, bend, twist in the Production environment.
Stand for extended periods of time.
Experience in cosmetic manufacturing and/or in a GMP environment is a plus.
Previous production experience required.
Bilingual/Spanish.
