Stronger Together: Beauty Industry Group Supports Those Affected by the COVID-19 Crisis
Salt Lake City – May 10, 2020 – Beauty Industry Group is uniting in a BIG way to combat the challenges of COVID-19. Our hair extension and beauty-related brands are raising tens of thousands of dollars for stylists and healthcare professionals worldwide. With strict orders of a nationwide quarantine, the majority of hairstylists are forced to close shop while losing their wages. Healthcare professionals are on the front lines battling to keep us safe. As social distancing remains current, we’re virtually uniting to aid those affected.
Babe Hair Extensions launched a Lay Low and Learn program offering online certification courses to hairstylists for a $20 donation. One hundred percent of the revenue is given to the Professional Beauty Association (PBA) who provide relief to hair professionals. We’re pleased to announce that we’ve reached our goal of raising $50,000!
Babe Lash is focusing their charitable efforts toward those on the front line of the health crisis. The brand has donated $10,000 worth of product so far!
HALOCOUTURE® announced their new social media campaign #HalosforHeros—over the next 25 days they will honor 25 healthcare professionals and first responders. The brand has graciously donated $25,000 worth of product to those on the front line of the health crisis. They are also hosting online education classes for a $20 donation where all the proceeds will go directly to the PBA disaster relief fund.
Glam Seamless is focusing their contributions to the PBA. With every beaded weft online certification sold, they’re donating $50 to the disaster relief fund.
Luxy is also donating during this time. They are committed to providing 30,000 masks to local hospitals. As of recent, they’ve already donated 10,000 masks to Sunnybrook hospital in Toronto. Plus, they are running a campaign where customers can get $5 off and a free gift if they send in 10 masks.
Hairtalk® is helping with the need for masks and donated 2,500 so far to hair professionals who greatly benefit from this. Furthermore, they are offering a free stylist precautionary kit with every order exceeding $250. The kit for hair stylists includes a protective hat and face shield, disposable face mask, protection pancho and more! The kit for clients also features protection items. A portion of the proceeds from the precautionary kit sales are donated to the PBA relief fund.
Thanks to our amazing stylists and salon community, we are stronger together and making a BIG impact.
